PAPAYA FISH SOUP 青木瓜鱼汤
A classic Cantonese postpartum soup recipe for new mothers to boost milk supply. You can drink this soup throughout the duration of your breastfeeding journey, but is alsoo delicious and highly nutritious for the whole family!
Ingredients:
- 1 large papaya
- 1.5 pounds fresh salmon fillet (or fish heads)
- 2 cups peanuts
- 1 knob ginger
Instructions:
- Peel and cube papaya
- Rinse fish fillet
- Peel ginger
- Shell peanuts if needed
- Heat oil in a pan
- Lightly fry fish and ginger until lightly crisped
- Add all ingredients into a soup pot and cover with water
- Bring to a boil, reduce flame and simmer for an hour
